Back in December 2021, LEGO announced that they were canceling the release of the three LEGO MECHs. They were canceling the Wolverine, Iron Man, and Black Panther sets because they supposedly had stability issues. While they missed their original release date of January 2022, it was announced that they were going out on April 1st. Collectors did not take this announcement too seriously given the timing and everyone thought it might actually just be a cruel and unusual joke. But thankfully, much to the delight of LEGO fans, these were released and we now have a proper minifig our favorite Canadian. But I'm still mad they didn't include a hair piece for him.
Box Art - First lets take a look at the box art, this is standard LEGO Marvel fare, it shows off the assembled figure nicely but I would have loved to see more pictures on the box. 4 out of 5 stars.
Quality - As mentioned, the build took about 35-40 minutes. That is not terribly long, especially when compared with larger kits. The instructions on the manual were easy to follow and the build experience was fun. The actual finished model looks great and plays great with a wide range of articulation. 5 out of 5 stars.
Accuracy - I still don't understand why Wolverine even needs a MECH, but at this point I should probably just stop asking. I'm annoyed that they did not include a hair piece for logan considering that they did a two sided face plate already. How am I gonna show off the face without a hair piece? 4 out of 5 stars.
Price to Value - The SRP is 9.99 USD which is in my opinion, a fair price for what's inside this box. Some people would pay 10 bucks JUST for the Wolverine Minifig, so yeah. 5 out of 5 stars.VERDICT- this LEGO set is easy to build and fun to play with all at a fair price. My final Geek Score for LEGO #76202 Wolverine Mech Armour is 4 and a Half stars out of five.
